German Fur Association, as of May 2004 German Fur Association of Wholesalers and Traders
is the organisation of companies working in the German fur trade as fur wholesalers, buying agents, dressers and dyers as well as fur manufacturers.
It was founded on 4th April 1950.

The Association promotes the interests of its members on the basis of the agreed statutes.

The German Fur Association of Wholesalers and Traders is a member of the International Fur Federation. It is an indirect member of Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände and demonstrates its solidarity with the group of employers.
It is a member of Gesamtverband Textil und Bekleidung.
With Fur & Fashion Frankfurt Messe GmbH it is represented at Ausstellungs- und Messeausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft.

It works closely together with the Chambers of Commerce, the German Fur Institute , the German Furriers Trade Association, the German Fur Breeders Association, the German Fur and Leather College to support and promote education and training within the trade and co-operates with a great number of national institutions and associations.
For more than 60 years its Fur & Fashion Frankfurt Messe GmbH organised the internationally renowned Fur & Fashion Frankfurt. Fur & Fashion Frankfurt Messe GmbH also takes charge of its member companies' participation in fairs held in markets that are of economic interest worldwide.

The German Fur Association of Wholesalers and Traders supports and promotes the fur trade's qualification and further education. The German Fur and Leather College organises training courses and block seminars.

We publish both PELZMARKT (in German) and PELZMARKT INTERNATIONAL (in English) - the only journal of the German fur trade.
You can subscribe to the monthly edition of PELZMARKT by sending us an email. There are three annual issues of PELZMARKT INTERNATIONAL (February, May, September). PELZMARKT INTERNATIONAL is distributed free of charge at the auctions and major fur fairs.
